BLOGGING 101: STOCK PHOTOS

5.12.2015

If you're like me, who's quite lacking some blogging gears and skills, or just lazy to shoot photos for content. Free stock photos will be your best-est friend, basically, stock photos are free to use (duh, you don't say) but be sure to read the licenses because sometimes it requires attribution. Here are the top sites that offers free stock images.

There are two common licenses you'll encounter:

      1. Creative Commons Zero (CC0 1.0)

The person who associated a work with this deed has dedicated the work to the public domain by waiving all of his or her rights to the work worldwide under copyright law, including all related and neighboring rights, to the extent allowed by law. You can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking permission.

      2. Creative Commons with Attribution (CC BY 3.0)
This license lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials.
