Reading through travel guides and articles about the Netherlands builds up my eagerness to finally save up big time (which will probably take me years and years to have sufficient funds because it's so darn expensive $$$) and finally embark on my great Euro trip. Netherlands is a great place filled with beautiful architecture and canals, great culture and nature and my favorite, history and art.
I am going to quote something from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, “Some tourists think Amsterdam is a city of sin, but in truth it is a city of freedom. And in freedom, most people find sin.”.Some people say that even if getting high is not on your list when you come to Amsterdam, it is quite inevitable because you'll second-hand smoke pots from other high people at most parts of the city.
VISIT ANNE FRANK HOUSE
Anne Frank is one of the most inspiring people that I know and would love to know more about her story. I still cannot get over with what Justin Bieber wrote on the museum's guest book and it's been like 3-4 years since that issue came up haha; he wrote "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber." what an ass haha (no, I not a hater. I just think that what he wrote is such the stupidest thing to think about).
SEE VINCENT VAN GOGH, FRANS HALS AND REMBRANDT'S MASTERPIECES
I wish can draw, doodle or sketch but I just can't. Art is not limited to just painting or drawings but it actually has a vast coverage. Art covers photography, dancing, singing, acting, and other creative things. We can all do art and we can all appreciate art. I would love to wander around the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum for hours and hours.
BOOK A CANAL TOUR AROUND HAARLEM
It is like hitting a stone with multiple birds, you get to ride the majestic canal of Haarlem and take views of the architecture, history and art that surrounds the canal.
VISIT THE TULIP FIELDS OF BOLLENSTREEK
I can finally listen to Tiptoe Through The Tulips ironically without the horror of the woman from insidious popping inside my mind. Countrysides are filled with beautiful fields of flowers, wind mills and relaxing beaches.
I love all things modern and clean-looking which means I love Rotterdam because of its architecture and museums, I mean, just look at the Cube House above, how can you not fall in love with that? I think I have the biggest damage when it comes to shopping there.
Aaaaaaaand that wraps up my bucketlist for Netherlands, if you have any suggestions on what to see or to do in Netherlands that didn't make it on the list, please let me know by commenting down below! x
