MAGINHAWA FOOD TRIPPIN'

12.25.2015

This post was long overdue but here it is another virtual diary about how our day went out at Maginhawa. For those who don't know anything about Maginhawa, it is a street in Quezon City where filled with awesome restaurants with different themes, ambiance and taste. We tried 3 different stops and here's how the day went.

The first stop was at The Burger Project, located at 122 Maginhawa, Diliman. The prices start at 175 pesos to 295 pesos for burgers, 75-155 pesos for side dishes and 150-165 pesos for milkshakes.

I ordered Western Bacon Melt, I love love love the onion rings and the patty was really really great. We actually went on an empty stomach, we arrived during lunch time and I was rooting for a rice meal but we headed for the burger shop instead. No regrets, it exceeded our expectation and left the store with a really full stomach. The only thing I didn't like about the burger I ordered are the mushrooms; I ordered this because I love mushrooms but it has this explosion of flavors I did not like but with my holy grail mustard (they have a great mustard there) it balances the flavor.

The next stop was the Wicked Kitchen located at 2F 189 Maginhawa Corner Makadios, Sikatuna Village, Diliman. We only tried one dish there and went for a dessert, s'mores which is called Greed there.

We went mental there, we don't know why. "Ilagay mo yung Apple products around the dish para kunware sossy tayo kaso isa lang in-order natin" The serving may not look that plenty but that sufficed to our needs, all 4 of us. Not gonna lie, it was price-y (188 pesos); I was actually inspired by the dish, I even made one last Christmas Eve (it was all over my snapchat story) and I only spent 107 pesos which filled up a 12-inch pan and was more than enough to feed 9-11 persons.

The last stop was at Caffera which is located at Unit 204 2/F, Dona Zenona Suites, 54 Maginhawa Corner Mahusay Street, UP Village, Diliman. I really appreciate the ambiance and theme of the cafe which is mainly filled with old camera and great photos.

I usually don't like coffee because of caffeine, I don't like the way it makes my tummy feel. I usually don't like sweet things because I also don't like the sugar rush it gives me. That's why I ordered a Tiramisu Frapperture in Megapixel, it is not too sweet, and it’s more on the bitter side but the right balance of sweet and bitter which I really appreciate.
